Opera Festival Various June-August Wiltshire based
Iford Arts was founded in 1993 to promote performances in the Cloister and Gardens of Iford Manor, near Bath, and sometimes elsewhere.  It promotes new productions from young companies who specialise in a particular genre of opera and mounts three new productions each year covering a wide repertoire including Baroque, Classical, 19th century and 20th century chamber opera.  Productions are designed for performance in the round in the cloister of Iford Manor, which seats 90.  Opera productions dominate the programming and promotions have included new productions from The Early Opera Company, Opera della Luna and The Opera Project.  However the festival also promotes promenade, jazz and world music events and undertakes outreach activities.

There are few lovelier places in England's operatic life than Iford The Times
With a maximum of ninety in the audience at this most intimate of the country-house opera festivals, the ... production [has] to draw us into a convincing world of its own and ... it succeeds handsomely.  Neil Fisher, The Times, 15 July 2008
