Tête à Tête premieres Toni Castell's 2045 The Year Man Becomes Immortal
Will technology save humanity or replace it? Composer, multi-instrumentalist, engineer, producer, academic and electro-acoustic polymath Toni Castells explores life, death, afterlife and the role of technology in a new work based on an article published in Time Magazine in 2011. The article featured the Director of Engineering at Google who described the inevitable moment – calculated to be about 30 years away - when computers become more intelligent than humans and humanity is completely and irreversibly transformed.
Bill Bankes-Jones directs this world premiere with Mark Sproson’s Helios Voices and the Aquinas Paiano Trio.
Tête à Tête presents the world premiere of Toni Castell’s 2045: The Year Man Becomes Immortal at St James’s Piccadilly, London on July 6
